Jake Drew Racing ( Karting 2009 )Orange, CA – (September 22nd, 2009) — The 2009 Rotax Grand Nationals at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex was a strong show of force for the drivers of the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas and Gatorz Karting Cup. In the end, series drivers took one class championship and three podium spots at this year’s event.

In the smallest class, Jacob Drew led the Gatorz Karting Micromax drivers throughout the qualifying and heat races before finishing second in the pre-main. In the main, however, Drew had a spin in the damp conditions, falling to twelfth but racing back to finish seventh. Behind him, Chloe St. George finished 11th, while sisters Annie and Toni Breidinger finished 17th and 18th.

“This was a great showing by the Gatorz Karting drivers at the Nationals,” said series owner Andy Seesemann, who was awarded the Wildcard position to compete at the Grand Finals in Egypt. “Gatorz Karting drivers were strong in every class and this just goes to show that both the Challenge of the Americas and Gatorz Karting Cup prepares drivers for the level of competition you see at the Grand Nationals and Grand Finals.”

The Challenge of the Americas will kick off January 22-24 at PKRA in Phoenix, Arizona. For more information,
